I bought this butt to pair up with an inexpensive carbon fiber shaft I had lying around so that I could keep a full carbon fiber cue in the car for unexpected times I might play some pool. When I received it, it looked and felt nice, thougha little heavy for my tastes. I found the weight bolt was easy to remove and after doing so, the weight and balance was right where I like it.
Wow!! This butt, paired up with my Cuedesg shaft plays amazingly! Very much on par with some $600 - $800 Cueteccues I've played with. Eyes closed, you'd have a hard time telling the difference.
I expected this to just be an occasional beater cue to keep in the car, but it plays so well and is a delight to use that I'm now keeping it in regular rotation with my other cues. I would totally trust this combo in tournament play or money games.
